    Sad Birthday

    By admin | April 20, 2010

Yesterday at the 19.04.2010 was the first birthday of Thailand Art Photography.
    It was a sad,
a sad, sad birhday for us.
    Ohhh, what I´m saying,…us ?
There is just a single person, the webmaster left.

While we started this website or better this photoblog,
we´ve been a team of about 15 people.
We had lots of ideas and we started with a lot of elan.
It was quite fun for all of us and we had a lot of dreams
about the future of our new project.
As we figured out, that our visitors are just mean
and penny pinching consumers of our work,
without leaving a single cent for us,
we had to cut down our production.
Most of our photo stories couldn´t be finished,
but we had still a little bit of hope left,
which changed later on to frustration.

First members of our team had to leave the project
and our photographer and founder Di,
had the very bad idea to start drugs trafficking
    to keep the project alive.
At the 03.10.2009 he has been caught by the police
and at the 31.12.2009 he died in prison at the age of just 30 years.
At that time we imposed a complete production stop.

The situation now at the end of April 2010 is nearly the same,
we gave our site a website facelift to carry more advertisement,
because we got the feeling our vistors not even see the ads.
Our income improved a little bit by now
and maybe it will be enough to pay the hosting and domain costs,
but no way to think about production.

Everbody wants a free internet and less advertisement
and nobody want´s to think about all the money, work and time
which has to be invested to run a website.
Many of our friends, which once produced a website gave up already,
others are not publishing new articles, the situation is similar.
Will Thailand Art Photography survive till it´s 2. birthday ?
This is unfailingly in the hands of our visitors !
