North Thailand, the former Kingdom of Lanna,
has it´s own, very unique culture, the so called Lanna Thai style.
Nearly everthing in the North seems to be influenced by
the Kingdom of the Million Ricefields, which is the meaning of Lanna,
also written as Lan Na.
Lanna had his own language and writing,
which is still in use for mostly spiritual purposes.
The beautiful and mystic Lanna Thai style lamps are omnipresent
in Northern Thailand,
but was the people of Phayao, a city near Chiang Rai,
made out of the Lanna lamps, we never saw before.
In our eyes this Lanna Thai Style Light Installation
is a real masterpiece of Lanna Thai Art.
