Today is the 83. birthday of His Majesty Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, Rama IX,
King of Thailand. For the people in Thailand this is a very special day
and it´s also the official Thai father´s day. Streets and buildings are festively decorated
and will be illuminated at nighttime. There are innumerable events everywhere in Thailand,
especially in the big cities. In Chiang Mai the main birthday celebration will take place
at the Royal Flora Ratchaphruek, which has been opened for the public since the 01.12.2010.
People will light candles in honour to His Majesty and there will be fireworks as well.
We´ve been to the Royal Flora Ratchaphruek this midday
and been astonished by the flower decorations, all done in love for the King of the hearts.

The Thailand Art Photography team wishes a happy birthday to His Majesty.
LONG LIVE THE KING !
