Chalermchai Kositpipat Cupidity consumed by desires

    By admin | September 20, 2009

Cupidity or desire is one of the central themes in the Buddhist philosophy.
Chalermchai Kositpipat shows at the entrance area to his
masterpiece of buddhist art, the white temple (Wat Rong Khun),
near Chiang Rai, his interpretation of consumed by desires.
There are 2 pools with hands coming out of the ground
and one of the most significant hands, is the only one, coloured a bit,
the hand with the red finger nail.
Chalermchai Kositpipat or as Thai people call him,
Ajarn (Teacher) Chalermchai Kositpipat is one of the most
    famous artists in Thailand.
His work is inspired by his deep believings in Buddhism.
