Tokeh Tokee Leopard Gecko Art in Nature

    By admin | Juli 18, 2009

The Leopard Gecko (Gecko gecko) is also called Tokeh (Tokee)
because of his constant calling Tokeh Tokeh (Tokee Tokee).
There is quite a lot of arguing about the number of shouts,
we can tell You there is no fixed number.
Thai people believe, if a Tokeh is calling 9 times,
while somebody wants to go out,
    one should refrain from.

The Leopard Gecko (Gecko gecko) is widely spread
    all over Southeast Asia.
In Thailand the Tokeh is considered as a good luck charm.
The reptile can reach an age of 25 years and a length of 40 cm.
Tokehs are night active and are hunting for insects, mice and snakes.
The Tokeh is a very, very shy creature, just a bit of movement or sound
    will chase him away.
It was a big task for our photographer to get a few pictures
    of the shy reptiles.
What a big luck, one day he found a male and a female Tokeh
and they allowed him to take a few shots.
In our eyes the Leopard Gecko is a masterpiece of art in nature.

Hello ! nice tokays ! but… Tokays and Leopards geckos aren’t the same animal ! tokays are Gekko gecko and leopards geckos are Eublepharis macularius ! leopards geckos are less big than tokays, and they are desertical, not tropical !
