The Hoya plant, specialy their flowers don´t look
like real flowers. They have a waxy, porcelain look,
which gave the Hoya also the name wax flower or porcelain flower.
No question, we´ve been fallen in love with this outstanding
tropical plants and we had reason enough to call them “art in nature“.
Hoyas remain to the family of Asclepiadaceae
and there are about 400 different species of this tropical plant known,
most of them epidemic to South East Asia.
Some Hoyas may not be discovered yet.

The Hoya plants are named after the english gardener Thomas Hoy (1788–1809).
In Thailand Hoya plants are in high demand nowadays,
because of their outstanding and very beautiful flowers.
