Kwan Phayao Thai Fishermen after Sunset

    By admin | April 26, 2010

The hour before and after sunset is called the blue hour.
Everthing, like the fishermen at Kwan Phayao (Phayao Lake),
the surounding hills, the water is bathed in a magic, blue light.
For photographers the blue hour is the best time of the day
    to create moody pictures.

Phayao is a small city, about 150 kilometers northeast of Chiang Mai
and well known for the Kwan Phayao, an artifical lake,
created in 1939 to optimize irrigation.
The Kwan Phayao has a length of about 6 kilometers
and is about 4 kilometers wide.
The artificial lake is home for many aquatic plants,
    fish and birds.
